Meridian Maintenance, Tunbridge Wells and Kent
Driveways, patios, paths and decking pressure washed to lift dirt, moss, algae and weeds, so the surface looks cared for again.
Driveways, patios and decking take a beating from the weather, and after a damp Kent winter they soon turn green, slippery and tired looking. A proper pressure wash lifts the dirt, moss, algae and weed growth that has built up and brings back the colour of the blocks, slabs and boards underneath. We clean block paving, concrete, paving slabs, garden paths and timber decking for homes across Kent, and we take care around your planting, walls and doors while we work.
Moss, algae and lichen love shade and damp. Patios under trees, north facing paths and decking that never quite dries out are the first to go green and slippery, and weeds soon follow in the joints. Cleaning them before the growth takes hold keeps them looking smart and makes them safer to walk on through the winter months.
Block paving, concrete and most stone will take a firm clean. Softer surfaces need a gentler hand, because too much pressure held in one spot can mark a slab, wash out the joints or raise the grain on timber. Matching the pressure and the distance to the surface is what separates a good clean from one that does damage.
A pressure wash on block paving always takes some sand out of the joints. That is why re-sanding and sealing are so often worth doing straight afterwards, and we can quote for both together, so the drive is left clean, firm underfoot and protected from the next round of weeds.

It should not when it is done with care. Damage usually comes from too much pressure held too close to one spot, which can mark softer slabs, wash out joints or raise the grain on decking. A careful clean matched to the surface avoids that.
Most need a clean every year or two, depending on shade, trees and how much the area is used. A shaded patio under trees goes green much faster than a sunny, open drive.
Yes. Decking needs a gentler approach than stone because timber is softer. Once it is clean and has dried out it can be treated or stained if you would like to protect it.
