Meridian Maintenance, Tunbridge Wells and Kent
Gutters cleared of leaves, moss and silt with a gutter vacuum from the ground, so rainwater runs away instead of over the edge.
Blocked gutters are one of the easiest problems to miss and one of the most expensive to ignore. Leaves, moss and silt build up until rainwater spills over the edge, soaks the walls below and can find its way inside. We clear gutters with a gutter vacuum system that works from the ground, so the debris goes into the machine rather than onto your drive, and there is no ladder leaning on your guttering.
Leaves are the obvious culprit, but moss washed off the roof, grit from older tiles and nesting material all end up in the gutter too. Together they pack down into a solid plug at the outlet, which is why a gutter can look clear from the street and still be holding water.
A gutter vacuum uses long poles and strong suction to lift the debris straight out of the gutter. It is a tidy way to work, because what comes out goes into the machine, and it reaches gutters that would otherwise need a ladder resting against the house.
Late autumn, once most of the leaves are down, is the most useful time for a gutter clean. Homes with big trees close by usually benefit from a second clean in spring, and with so many tree lined roads and wooded villages across Kent, plenty of homes fall into that group.
We are based in Tunbridge Wells and offer gutter cleaning right across Kent, including Tunbridge Wells, Southborough, Tonbridge, Paddock Wood, Edenbridge, Sevenoaks, Marden, Kings Hill, Westerham, West Malling, Cranbrook, Staplehurst, Hawkhurst, Larkfield, Uckfield, Maidstone, Aylesford, Hastings, Ashford. See all 97 towns we cover.
At least once a year for most homes, ideally in late autumn after the leaves have fallen. If you have large trees close to the house, twice a year is sensible.
Usually not. A gutter vacuum works from the ground on long poles, so most gutters can be cleared without anything resting against the house.
Look for water spilling over the edge when it rains, damp patches or green streaks on the wall underneath, plants growing out of the gutter, or a gutter that sags or pulls away from the fascia.
