Property maintenance in New Romney

Property maintenance for New Romney homes

One of the original Cinque Ports, New Romney is also the headquarters of the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway, the miniature line that runs along the coast. Romney Marsh stretches all around, about 32 miles east of Tunbridge Wells, and sea wind and salt air work away at paintwork, fences and gates. Along the shore at Littlestone-on-Sea and Greatstone-on-Sea, as well as in the town, Meridian can repaint, repair fences and gates, clear gutters and pressure wash patios and drives.

It is about 32 miles from Tunbridge Wells to New Romney, and distance does not change the deal: a free quotation, no deposit, and 10% off for new customers.

Homes close to the sea in and around New Romney face salt air and stronger winds than those further inland. Both are hard on paintwork, metal fixings, gutters and timber fences, so regular cleaning and a sound coat of paint go a long way here.

What we do in New Romney

• Driveway, Patio and Decking Pressure Washing
Driveways, patios, paths and decking pressure washed to lift dirt, moss, algae and weeds, so the surface looks cared for again.
• Gutter Cleaning
Gutters cleared of leaves, moss and silt with a gutter vacuum from the ground, so rainwater runs away instead of over the edge.
• Roof Cleaning and Repairs
Moss and debris cleared from roofs, valleys and gutters, plus roof and gutter repairs to keep the weather out.
• Exterior Painting and Decorating
Walls, woodwork, fascias and fences painted after proper preparation, with weather resistant finishes suited to each surface.
• Brickwork Re-Pointing and Mortar Repairs
Crumbling and missing mortar raked out and replaced with fresh joints, so walls stay weathertight and look sharp again.
• Block Paving Re-Sanding and Sealing
Block paving re-sanded with fresh kiln dried sand and sealed, to lock the joints and help keep weeds and stains at bay.
• Fence, Gate and Garden Maintenance
Fence panels and gates repaired or replaced, hedges cut, lawns mown, gardens cleared and weeds treated.
